End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin membership management application (the “App”). By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Agreement.

1. License Grant

GSDCW grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the App for the purpose of managing your club membership, training enrollment, and related club activities.

2. Eligibility

The App is available to current and prospective members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin. Access credentials are provided by the club and are for your personal use only.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information in your member profile
  • Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
  • Use the App only for its intended purpose of club membership management
  • Not attempt to access other members’ accounts or data without authorization

4. QuickBooks Online Integration

The App integrates with Intuit QuickBooks Online to generate and send invoices for membership dues and training fees. By using the App, you acknowledge that:

  • Your billing information (name, email, amounts due) will be shared with Intuit QuickBooks Online for invoice processing
  • Invoices will be emailed to you by QuickBooks Online on behalf of GSDCW
  • Payments made through QuickBooks are subject to Intuit’s terms of service

5. SMS Terms & Conditions (GSDCW Text Alerts Program)

GSDCW offers an optional SMS text messaging program (“GSDCW Text Alerts Program”) to communicate club announcements, class cancellations, schedule changes, event reminders, membership renewals, and other club-related notifications.

5.1 Consent and Opt-In

By opting in to receive text messages through the App, you expressly consent to receive recurring SMS/MMS messages from the German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin at the mobile phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of membership or any purchase. You may opt in at https://gsdcw-app.vercel.app/sms-optin, by checking the SMS consent box when you register at https://gsdcw-app.vercel.app/join, or by enabling the SMS setting in your own member profile. Only you can opt yourself in; club staff cannot opt you in.

5.2 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You may receive messages for class cancellations, schedule changes, event reminders, membership renewal notices, and important club announcements. Expect to receive no more than 10 messages per month, though frequency may increase during training seasons or severe weather events.

5.3 Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan. GSDCW is not responsible for any charges from your wireless carrier.

5.4 Opt-Out

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message you receive from us
  • Disabling the “Opt in to text messages” setting in your member profile in the App
  • Contacting a board member to request removal

After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. You will not receive any further text messages unless you opt in again.

5.5 Help

For help with the GSDCW Text Alerts Program, reply HELP to any message you receive from us, or email us at info@gsdcw.com. You may also contact the club’s board of directors through the App.

5.6 Supported Carriers

Messages are sent via standard SMS. Major US carriers are supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5.7 Privacy

Your phone number and SMS opt-in status are collected and used solely for the purpose of sending you club-related text messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Push Notifications

The App supports optional push notifications for announcements, event reminders, and other club communications. By enabling push notifications on your device, you consent to receiving these messages. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or browser permissions.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. GSDCW is a volunteer-run organization and does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the App.

9. Limitation of Liability

GSDCW and its officers, board members, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

10. Termination

GSDCW may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11. Changes

GSDCW reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
